Adams Chimney Sweep is a mobile service-area business. We do not operate a walk-in shop anywhere — every job, in Edmonton as in Camrose, is done at the property. That means there is no location for you to visit and no difference in how the work is carried out from town to town.
Edmonton is the largest city in the area we cover, and it is also the most varied. Days in the city are planned as a route rather than as isolated calls, so booking ahead gets you a time you actually want. If you need something urgently, call and ask — we will tell you what is genuinely possible that week rather than promising a slot and moving it later.
What we tend to find on Edmonton jobs
Edmonton housing stock covers a wide span, and the chimney work follows from it. Older character homes in the mature neighbourhoods usually have original masonry chimneys, where the recurring issues are crown cracking, deteriorated mortar joints and liners that were never upgraded. Suburban homes built through the 1970s and 80s more often have factory-built fireplaces, where the questions are about the metal chimney system, the cap and the firestop rather than about brickwork. Newer builds are mostly direct-vent gas, which still needs the venting checked even though there is no creosote to remove.
None of that changes the price of a sweep. It does change what the written report ends up saying, which is the part worth reading.
WETT inspections for a sale, a purchase or an insurer
A large share of the inspection work we do in Edmonton is driven by a deadline — a condition on a purchase, a policy renewal, or an insurer asking for documentation on a wood-burning appliance. If you are working to a date, say so when you book. A WETT inspection also needs a reasonably clean system to be meaningful, so a heavily used chimney may need a sweep first. Our WETT inspection page explains what each level covers and which one people usually actually need.

Confirming we cover your address
Edmonton itself is inside our service area, as are the communities immediately around it — St. Albert, Sherwood Park, Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, Fort Saskatchewan, Beaumont, Leduc and Devon among them. If you are on an acreage or a county address further out, call (825) 343-0138 before booking and we will confirm coverage for that specific address. We would rather tell you no on the phone than have you wait on a booking we cannot fill.
Our hours are Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. We are closed Sunday.
New to chimney maintenance?
If you are not sure what your chimney actually needs, start with our chimney care questions and answers — it covers how often a chimney should be swept, what creosote is, and how a WETT inspection differs from a sweep.
